RUGBY WORLD CUP NEW ZEALAND 2011
The 2011 Rugby World Cup will be held in New Zealand in September and October 2011.
The 2011 Rugby World Cup final will be played in Auckland on Sunday October 23, 2011, at Eden Park. The semi finals will also be in Auckland on 15th and 16th October 2011.

The 2011 RWC will be contested by 20 teams. Around 60,000 supporters are expected to attend to make this a huge Rugby festival.

20 teams will compete in 48 games, over 7 weeks in 13 venues in New Zealand. The full games schedule has now been released and is available on our New Zealand Rugby Info site Games page.

Towns acting as team bases will also be announced later in 2009 or early 2010.

Ticket prices are likely to be set late in 2009 or early in 2010. For the final and semi finals, these are expected to be based on international prices and will be similar to the semi final and final ticket prices for the last Rugby World Cup in France.

However, tickets for pool games should be cheaper and more accessible to encourage more people to attend these games. Prices of from $10 for pool matches to $1400 for the finals have been suggested, but there is no confirmation of this yet.

Based on France, tickets are unlikely to be on sale until around the end of 2010.

The teams page gives more information on the 20 teams to contest the RWC. Follow the Rugby World Cup news about the build up, qualifying matches, and latest announcements.

Rugby World Cup tickets and official Rugby Tours will be available from official ticketing and tour agents. Visit the official Rugby Union or Travel Agent websites for information on these.
